Free Individual and Group Tours

Unity Village, Missouri, is the world headquarters of Unity, a religious and educational institution founded in 1889. The unique Mediterranean-style buildings (two are on the National Register of Historic Places) are located on 1400 acres of beautifully landscaped grounds, with meditation chapels, fountains, and reflecting pools.

Self-guided tours are available 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Monday through Thursday, and 10 a.m.-1 p.m. Friday through Sunday.

Guided tours for 10 to 50 people are available if booked in advance.

Tour Highlights:

• The showplace Rose Garden with more than 800 bushes and 50 varieties.
• The home of Daily Word, Unity's monthly inspirational magazine.
• The home of Silent Unity, a nondenominational worldwide prayer ministry. (May not be available if an event is in progress.)
• The historic Fillmore Chapel and offices, restored to their beautiful 1929 appearance. (Only available Monday through Thursday.)

Both the guided and self-guided tours are walking tours and take approximately one-hour to complete. The length of the walking tour is equal to two city blocks, and there are two flights of stairs. The tour is a combination of walking on sidewalks through the outside gardens and courtyards and walking inside buildings.

Both the guided and self-guided tours are Free. Donations are welcome.

Tours begin at the Unity Village Bookstore, which is available for browsing before or after the tour, and offers gift items and a coffee shop.

Handicapped Accessibility

Handicapped Accessibility The main route of the tour is handicapped-accessible, although not all areas of the grounds are. For guided group tours, we require advance notice of visitors in wheelchairs or those who have trouble walking or climbing stairs. With advance notice, we can modify the guided tour to avoid stairways and to begin at a more accessible location.

For self-guided tours, handicapped routes can be suggested in the Visitors Center prior to beginning the tour.
