Prayer Reaching Across the Miles

Step into a circle of prayer for people affected by the recent events of nature in the world. The spirit of love we share with them, magnified through prayer, reaches across the miles to comfort and bless all whose lives have been touched by recent natural disasters.  Read More

Hi Tarcsa, I had the same problem that you did. When I took a Basic Principles of Truth II class my teacher, Evelyn taught us to tell your body to relax, naming each part (ex: neck, tongue, shoulder, muscles, etc). When I started back with the negative I walked away and came back. I was surrounded by many enemies but I blessed them and asked the Christ in me to see the Christ within them. I tried to see only what they did good. Over time it will happen. I learned to control my emotions no matter what someone else did. If I was happy I stayed happy despite what someone else did. It takes time but it will happen. I took a Chi qong class at church and I loved it. My mind can really be still & no neg. before or after. Now I have to work on praying everyday. Sometimes I still get depressed but I just try to keep positive and think about things that make me happy. I also stopped watching t.v. (news, gossip). TV must be positive for me because it can be a negative strong force. I hope this helps.

Inner Peace
Remember Jesus' words to us...We are to cast all our burdens on him. "My yoke is easy and my burden is light". You will feel tremendous relief when you cast all your burdens on Him. Remember that with God all things are possible. This should be your central thought as you are praying. In the words of St. Teresa of Avila: "Let nothing trouble you...all things pass. Patience will triumph over everything. God alone is enough." Wishing you peace and strength...

Inner Peace
I have so much trouble in my life. I feel as if I'm spinning out of control. Depression has stopped all of my logical thinking and I need GOD in my life to walk with me. But when I sit in prayer, I can't stop thinking of my troubles. This is stopping me from complete stillness. As I sit, as a single parent who is in deep financial trouble because of economy and health, I'm in a troubled untrusting relationship, working 2 jobs and feel as if I'm surrounded by enimies. How do I complete the silence in prayer.

The Five Principles

A new Unity House book
by Ellen Debenport

The five principles constitute the core teachings of the Unity spiritual movement founded in 1889. These same principles reflect the laws of the universe that apply to everyone, all the time. Debenport encourages every reader to "work with these principles, test them, apply them to your life, and watch what happens."

Ellen is featuring a series on Unity.FM about the Five Principles. Listen now
