Leaves on the Vine
By Mary Berg
To hear with the ears of our hearts,
to see with the eyes of our minds.
To love with our bodies as well as our souls,
with a love beyond what the body can know.
We are the branches of God, leaves on the vine,
threads in the fabric of all that’s divine.
Our thoughts are those threads—an action, a cause
to build a new blueprint, commune, and belong.
Join in the causes that call to each heart,
challenges link us, we’re not set apart.
Connect ourselves to the tree of life,
whose branches we are, in wholeness, in light.
